It doesn't get more proudly South Africa in the dessert department than our boozy Tinkies Milk Tart.
Combining two of SA's most beloved desserts, Tinkies and the Milk Tart, with the one-and-only Tant' Sannie se Melktert Cream Liqueur is possibly one of the greatest ideas to come out of kitchen. If you don't believe it, you need to eat it!
INGREDIENTS
Serves 4 pax
- 250ml whipping cream
- 2 tbsp Moir’s Custard Powder
- 2 tbsp fine sugar
- 1 tub mascarpone cheese
- 2/3 cup Tant Sannie se Melktert Cream Liqueur
- 6 Vanilla Whizz Tinkies
- Shot of espresso
- Health Connection Organic Cacao Powder for dusting
METHOD
- Add whipping cream, custard powder, and sugar together and beat until doubled in size.
- Add mascarpone, Tant Sannie se Melktert Cream Liqueur and beat until combined.
- Place Tinkies in desired serving dish and pour a dash of espresso over each Tinkie.
- Pour the whipped cream mixture over the Tinkies and finish off with a dusting of cacao powder.
- Refrigerate overnight and enjoy!
